Will "Y'all" Fall for the Hustle Again?

After Mr. Obama’s election victory, I remember looking at the scene of jubilation and excitement on the faces of blacks in my little hometown. Sadly, many of the same people cheering were unemployed and living in utter poverty. Like the children of Israel, they were looking for a deliverer from the malaise of their condition. Many of the older ones had worked in the withering heat of the day on local farms. Their wrinkled faces were soaked in tears as they reveled over “one of ours” finally being on top. Ironically, the views of Mr. Obama were the opposite to the way they had been raised. His views on homosexuality and abortion went against what many of them believed, taught and stood for. Yet, because many felt that “blood runs thicker than water” they voted for “the colored boy.”
Now three years later, more of them are unemployed and suffering from despair. The bloom is off the ideological rose but they still think he can be their Moses. They still see Republicans as standing up for the rich. They don’t realize that poor people don’t create jobs. Many have been so enslaved to poverty that they see the government as their ultimate liberator. Their president has spent three years pushing a healthcare program that few want, playing golf and traveling around the planet instead of creating an environment for jobs and self improvement. In reality, their hero has turned out to be nothing more than an ideological puppet of a system that many of them would hate if they really understood it. The folk of my small town are the “y’all” that Mr. Biden believes the Republicans want to put in chains. The truth is that blacks are being put in chains by liberal democratic ideas. I hope many of my friends from back home will see who is helping and who is hindering them.

So, who will they vote for in this election? Many will hold their noses and hope that Mr. Obama will somehow come to their rescue. Some will stay home believing that their vote will not make any difference. A very small few will vote for Mr. Romney. Sadly, others will drown themselves with some drug, alcohol or similar opiate or 'live in a dream' like Eleanor               Rigby.

A Different Viewpoint on the Aurora Massacre

Barely before the blood of the innocent victims was dry on the theater floor, liberals were calling for tighter gun control laws. They always do this because many of them believe a sign restricting firearms in a place will actually prevent someone from using a firearm. This is tantamount to believe a “no swimming” sign will keep a bunch of ten year-olds from jumping into a pond on a hot summer day…but with deadlier consequences. Such signs are only as good as the reader’s respect for law and the ability of the person placing the sign to enforce it. For example, a speed limit sign telling you to drive 65 miles per hour is placed by people who believe law abiding drivers will obey it. If people don’t obey the speed limit, law enforcement officers are usually around too pull over those who disobey the limit as a close friend of mine recently discovered.

Back to Aurora. A printed sign (the one at the theater prohibiting firearms) will never deter a deranged mind. Those who post such signs just don't get it! In fact, the prohibition of a trained person with a concealed carry permit and a weapon, may have unwittingly contributed to this carnage. Any demented person capable of reading can readily analyze that people who obey such signs contribute a target rich environment.

Futhermore, if you tell me I cannot bring in a legal firearm with a concealed carry permit into your business, could you be preventing me from protecting myself...if you don't have personnel available to protect me? That is the question these families should be discussing with their lawyers. Does a business which does not allow you to bring a weapon somehow assume the responsibility to protect you? Maybe they should add “enter at your own risk” to their gun prohibition signs. Watch as the theater agencies give money for medical expenses to the families to keep them from asking this series of questions. Just as I expect the food to be safe when I eat at a restaurant, I also expect a safe environment when I go to a movie that disallows concealed carry. I differ with the liberals because I believe “an armed society is a polite society.”

I believe that if someone trained and with a concealed carry permit and a weapon had been at the theater, fewer people would have been killed or injured. The reason I say this is that such murderers as James Holmes usually run when confronted. Just look at the old man who sent two would be robbers fleeing in Ocala, Florida a few days before this tragic event. The Florida event could have been just as deadly had it not been for the man with the gun and the concealed carry permit. You may argue with me but if you would be honest, you know that I am right.

Let's continue to pray for the families of those killed and injured.  They were at the wrong place at the wrong time with what I believe was a terrible policy by the theater owners.

Let the dialogue begin with logic and facts…not just empty emotion!

Thieves Stealing from Theives

Someone once said, “What goes around comes around.” This statement is no more true than recent revelations of stuff being stolen from occupy protestors. Think about it, these folk believe income should be "redistributed" from the rich to the poor. Then they protest when packs of thieves actually try to…for lack of a better term, do what they are doing.

These protestors believe they are being stolen from by the “fatcats” then they complain when someone does the same thing to them. Welcome to the wonderful world of reality!

To make things even more interesting, the “fatcats” on Wall Street who gave millions to candidate Obama, are now complaining that the Dems are biting the hand that fed them. What a paradox: The protestors are having their stuff stolen while the “fatcats” are complaining that they are being demonized by the same people, or surrogates thereof, they put into office.

Well boys and girls, fact can sometimes be stranger than fiction.

I posit what I hope will be pearls of wisdom for both sides of this real life drama: Protestors need to see that they are being used by rich puppeteers who could care less about them or their perceived cause. They are in reality, “useful idiots” as some once said. The Wall Street crowd need to realize that you get what you pay for. Mr. Obama, in a rare moment of truth, told them that “we need to redistribute the wealth.” I wonder whose wealth they thought he was talking about?

We are at a crossroads and people need to realize that “the king has no clothes” and that the Democrats are running a “naked reverse” on us. If they succeed, the touchdown will be scored against capitalism and our way of life will be the loser. Wake up before it’s too late and give our money to those who want to help increase wealth, decrease taxes and allow each person to rise to their potential.

Need I say more?

Dear Mr. Holder

Well, it seems things are getting tougher for Attorney General Eric Holder as increasing evidence is mounting to show that he did know about “Fast and Furious” sooner instead of later. Even if he didn’t know until later, he is at minimum guilty of incompetence, also an offense worthy of firing, in most businesses. Also, even if Bush did the same thing, how can Holder hide behind Bush’s stupidity when his administration constantly claims we are in this economic mess because of guess who? Bush! In an effort to help Mr. Issa save taxpayers money, I recommend Mr. Issa send a letter similar to this one to Mr. Holder:

Dear Mr. Holder:

After weeks of listening to you and others testify, I would like to make you an offer that I hope you won’t refuse. I know how easy it is to forget things sometimes but I find it very hard to 1) believe you did not understand my question about “Fast and Furious” a few weeks ago and 2) believe that those working under you did not keep you abreast with this mess.

I want to first say that I understand the embarrassment of being caught in a lie. Former allies such as former Representative Duke Cunningham, who is now in jail, was not even allowed to attend his dear mother’s funeral after his conviction. Moreover, with the evidence I now have, I believe you will be seen in somewhat of an unfavorable light. In case you were wondering, I AM NOT BLUFFING!

Therefore, I strongly encourage you to resign forthwith from your present office and I will pull the subpoena that you received today. Should you not do this, well, I will leave it to your imagination.

You have twenty-four hours to consider this gracious offer.

Sincerely,

Darrell Issa

The Reality Behind the Solyndra Debacle

Normally, I use four or five paragraphs to say what I could say with less words. Hopefully, this will not be the case in my view of the Solyndra case. You remember the Solyndra case, it’s the one where people from the Obama Administration gave $500 million to a company rejected by the previous Bush Administration because they were deemed incapable of doing the job. However, Mr. Obama was so anxious to get green jobs going that poor judgement was used in giving this now defunct company government money.

Well, guess what? Someone in the Obama Administration, obviously he nor anyone else knew anything about it…just like they knew nothing of the “fast and furious” gunrunning situation, gave these guys enough money to run several families for decades.

Clear and simple, here is my take on the green jobs issue:
Solyndra got the green and we got jobbed!

"What say you?"

The Sticky Tar Baby Issue

I was reading online that a group of representatives from the NAACP were scheduling a meeting with Congressman Doug Lamborn concerning his use of the term “tar baby” when referring to President Obama’s policies.   While I think this is an opportunity for an "umpteenth" explanation by Mr. Lamborn, I think I would take a different approach to this issue.   For example, here’s a possible script for the meeting:

NAACP Rep.:  Mr. Lamborn, why did you make such a racist comment concerning President Obama?

Mr. Lamborn:  For the one thousandth time, I did not make a racist statement concerning the President.   This term refers to a sticky situation.

NAACP Rep.:  Mr. Lamborn, how could you be so naïve?

Mr. Lamborn:  I am not naïve, but think with black unemployment at over 18%, black crime rates skyrocketing and the like, I think we should be talking about those issues instead of my comment.

NAACP Rep.:  Mr. Lamborn, why are you trying to shift the topic?

Mr. Lamborn:  I am not trying to shift anything but I am trying to show that you are here for the wrong reason…

NAACP Rep.:  (rather shocked) What do you mean by such a statement?

Mr. Lamborn:  Let’s settle my tar baby comment right now!…If any of you have heard a black person use the “N” word towards another black person and never spoke against it, don’t lecture me on race relations.  If you standby why rappers use all kinds of rancid racial epithets then don’t lecture me on racism…

I am not prejudiced towards anyone, nor am I a racist!  I am however very upset we are forgetting whose policies are ruining our country.

Now, let’s talk about how we can help this country to get jobs for the people that Mr. Obama has disappointed.

Why our Double A Rating Isn't that Bad Based on Battery Ratings

I was watching news reports of our triple A rating being lowered to double A.  I explained to my kids that this is like losing a personal credit rating.  They understood personal credit ratings but could not apply it to a country.   For as long as they have been alive, the U. S. has held the highest credit rating.

As we were completing our Economics discussion, one of my kids asked why I were so concerned.  His stated that since a double A battery was bigger than a triple A battery, doesn’t that mean we are better than before?  I immediately closed down the discussion as I began to wonder if the President doesn’t feel the same way.

In 2008, my cousin and I were discussing what would happen if Barak Obama became president.  I told her that if he became president and did what he said he would do, he would ruin our economy and polarize race relations.   I don’t claim to be a prophet but I believe my words have more than become true.  This man’s left wing ideology makes tea partiers seem like wafflers.
