Give Thanks!

Thanksgiving is just a few days away. Is the turkey ready with all the stuffing? How about Aunt Maude? Will she be coming in from out of town this year or is she afraid of the TSA pat down? Be sure to tell her to not forget her dentures, like she did last year.

As we approach Thanksgiving 2010, use this little acrostic to give thanks to and for those around you:

T-is for the task ahead
     if we don’t complete it, we’ll all be dead

H-is for hanging tough
     just plain talking just ain’t enough

A-is for America, USA
     more want to come here than move away

N is for “Naw!” I don’t want the change
     just me and my horse out there on the range

K-is for kindness, an American trait
     “Yes Ma’am, please” and don’t be late

S-that’s for Savior, our Lord of all
     Keep a stiff upper lip and your eye on the ball
